Description
A typical Swedish massage may be performed before a hot stone massage to warm up your muscles. The heated stones will then be applied to important acupressure sites on your body by your therapist. Your muscles may be massaged more deeply since the stones warm and relax them. When treating sore muscles, heat is frequently advised. Heat therapy aids healing by increasing blood flow to a particular location of the body. Your therapist will massage your neck, back, arms, and legs both with and without the use of hot stones using massage oil and a variety of strokes and methods. Clients who may have high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, varicose veins, migraines, rheumatoid arthritis, decreased pain sensitivity, recent wounds, areas of weak or inflamed skin, tumours, metal implants, recent chemotherapy, radiation, or surgery, or who are taking blood thinners is not advised to receive hot stone therapy. Strenuous exercise should be avoided for 24 hours following a massage to ensure that you benefit from relaxed muscles.
